Below the Rim Meadery

Below the Rim Meadery, est. 2022. Below the Rim Meadery is a family run honey winery located just outside of Payson, AZ, below the scenic Mogollon Rim. Our forest tasting patio is open from late spring through the fall season, while weather allows. Our meadery was created out of a “need for mead” when Rob Mitchell, the patriarch of our family, was diagnosed with Celiac disease. He, and later our younger daughter, found themselves unable to consume their favorite adult beverages due to their new medical issues with gluten. Being an engineer and problem solver by trade, Rob began to brew his own delicious mead and Below the Rim Meadery was born.
