Valknut Meadery, est. 2022. Valknut Meadery is a family-owned meadery in Crows Nest, Queensland, crafting award-winning mead from 100% local honey and natural ingredients. Inspired by ancient Northern European history, our meads are handmade, proudly local, and full of character. We do keep a handful of beehives here on our property, but they are mainly for pollinating our veggie garden, fruit trees, and doing our small part to support bee populations. The honey they produce is nowhere near enough for what we need, so all of the honey we use is sourced from local beekeepers.
Our town of Crows Nest, Queensland, sits surrounded by bushland filled with gum trees, wattles, and other native flora that bees thrive on. It is a great area for producing beautiful Australian bush honey, and we work with local beekeepers whose hives are scattered throughout the surrounding region.
